TRINIDAD, Mauricho

Trinidad, a 32-year-old native of Mexico, was working at a San Ber-
nandino, Calif.y pre- cooling plant. He and his wife, Refugio
Pacheco Trinidad, had been separated for over a year and she was
living in the home of 1\7-year-old luis Hernandez , a Colton shoe=
maker, who operated his small shop in the front part of his resi-
dence, Trinidad was convinced that Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez were re-
sponsible ger his separation from his wife, and on the morning of
May 31, 192 5, after he left work he went to the HSEKSEK Hernandez
residence and demanded that Refugio return to his home with him
immediately. When she refused, fPrinidad drew a pistol and shot
REY and critically wounded, noe Hernandez rushed into the living
quarters from the shop and “rinidad shot him also. Hernandez died
a few minutes later. Trinidad went to the police station and turned
himself in, confessing the crime. Convicted of murder, he was
hanged at San Quentin Prison on Oct. 15, 1926,
