Rose. When Mrs, Morgan learned of her husband's infidelity, she took
their son and moved to New Mexico where she died shortly afterwards,
Rose demanded that his wife choose between him and Morgan and when
she chose the latter, he took their, daughter and left, obtaining a
divorce, Morgan and Mrs, Rose were married on March 5, 1937, and in
May his son came to live with then, Both Callon and Hleanor were
heavy drinkers and they quarreled constantly, On one occasion she
left him but agreed to a reconciliation when he promised to stop

that night, as they were sitting in the floor playing cards, he struck
