Minutes of the Burlington County Board of Freeholders, November (7164 -

"Thomas Redman Esq. High Shervif of the County of Burlington,
erhibited an account before the Board which upon an inspection
of the same pears to he as followeth* +o timber for buildin
the gallows whereon Jacoh Shoemaker was hanged , five shillings.
To treating the workmen that built it, 0-2-6- To a bed-cord
to pinion and hang him with, 0-3-6 and twenty shillings paid
