Blacks, electrocuted Kentucky State Prison (Mason County)
on September 27, 1912. "Two brothers were electrocuted
in the state penitentiary todaye They were dames and
Charles Smith, negroes, who killed an aged member of
their race in a small town in Eastern Sentucky a year
ago, Each went calmly to his death, The younger of the
brothers was first taken to the chair and 15 minutes
after he had been declared dead the other was executed,"
