KANE , Joseph Coy.

Kane, a 21-year-old Youngstown, Ohio, white mansexually
assaulted a.7~year-old boy, Paul Prologo, in a city park
and then kicked him to death. Kane was immediately sus~
pected and confessed the crime for which he was sentenced
-to the electric—chair, His brother who was Serving a
second sentence for burglary and larceny in the Ohio State
Prison was allowed to eat with Kane for his last meal,
Kane seemed-anxious to go to his death and joked up until:
the time the switch was thrown. When his head Was shaved,
he remarked to the prison barber: "Well, mister, how much
