"Richmond, Oct. 29: Yesterday were executed at the gal-

BRANCH and JOHN YOUNG for horse stealing. The former of
whitch before he was launched off penttently acknowledged
his guilt of the ertme for whitch he was about to suffer.
Young appeared as tf he was quite restgned and met his
fate wtth fortitude. These unfortunate men had on a
former offence experienced the compasston of their
fellow citizens that they might have an opportunity of
reformity. But alas! They no sooner disobeyed the laws
of thetr country and at length fell victims to their
wretched ends )

now apparently lost.
