Details: Hiram Smith was condemned for his part in

the murder of one Charles Wenham whose
body was found in Deer Lick Creek on 1-9-73. A letter
found in the clothing of the deceased led investigators
to one Charles Sutherland, who committed suicide while
in custody. Hiram Smith was drawn into the matter dur-
ing the course of the investigation.
