Note from Hearn, dtd.12-9-1989 states:

Bioce ea3 to Minutes of the Council & General
Court of Colonia Virginia, this woman was con-
demned 6-2-1633 for infanticide, However it
$s significant to note that she was acquitted
of murder and convicted of mans&aughter only.
She drew a death sentence only because she
neglected to plead clergy. In such cases a
Fommutation ususally followed. So I would be
inclined to, doubt ‘that ‘she was actually execu-
ted, although at this extremely early date she
certainly may have bekn. Advise downgrade to
untonfirmed status,” — :
