VERMONT

"HANG ING, -The B,nnington (Vt.) GAZETTE says that the
children of a Mr. DOWNS of that town, in playing KHKAMEXK
‘hanging’ gurine the absence of their mother, on F_iday
last, slipped a cord around the neck of a little Sister,
about two years old, which they hung. The children, dis-
covering the child strangling, became affrighted, and ran
to a neighbor for help; but, on the arrival of the neigh-
