GOODWIN, Walter E.

Executed June 9, 1898; Tioga Co., Pas; killed his wife on
9-3-1897; apparently a young girl named Gertrude Taylor
was implicated; in jail while awaiting trial he had an
interview with the girl; deputies heard substance of
damaging conversation; he also wrote a letter which was
apprehended and further damaged his case} tried in Sept.
