church supper last winter, hanged today. Nick confessed.'

"Sandersville, 8-16-Will Nix, whe was convicted of murder
last March in the superior court and sentenced to be hanged
in May by Judge B T. Rawlings, but got a respite for a few
months in order than an appeal might be made before the
supreme court for a new trial, which was refused, was hung
today in the jailyard by Sheriff 5S. M. Moye, It will be re
membered that Nix shot and killed Bob Jackson, a negro,
last winter at Riddleville, while attending a negro hot
supper at a church. Nix, until the last few weeks denied

having killed the man, but the evidence in the case was 5°
