"Alonze Savage, Pittsburg negre voodoo doctor, was elec~
trocuted at Rockview State Prison (Allegheney County) on
March 31, 192). Was convicted of the murder of a nurse,
Miss Elsie Barthel, Was cool and calm until the end,
walking to the chair unassisted and maintaining his
innocence,"
