"HANGHD-Richmond, Va., Jan. 6. - dames Webster, colored,
aged 18 years, was hanged today in the courthouse yard at

Bedford City, Va., for rape committed on an aged and re-
spected lady. He had confessed the crime and seemed
indifferent to his fate. The arrangements were perfect
and there were no unusual incidents about the execution."
