ROBERTS, H. E. (Jack)
Roberts, an ex-convict, attempted to force an automobile
containing 5 teenagers out joyriding to stop near Portland,
OR on March 19, 1911. Instead of stopping the driver
increased his speed and Koberts fired 4 shots from an
automatic shotgun at the caf, killing Don M. Stewart &
George Hastings and wounding 2 other members of the party.
Cohvicted of the murder, he was hanged on XX 12/13/1912.~

Went calmly, having been converted to religion. Made a
