"Halifax-August 6-On Thursday last were commit-
ted to the gaol of this town, three negro fel-
lows for the murder of their master, Nathaniel
Norwood of Northampton County, The confessed
that they perpetrated the horrid deed by strik-
ing him on the head with a hoe, and then
strangling himp after which they carried him to
the river, about three miles, and having tied
stones to his hands and feet in order to sink
