“DEAR. Earl June 27, 1919

Hanged, Cook County, Ill., (Chicago), June 27, 19]9. On
1-18-1918, he had just been released from jail. He and
Eugene “artnett were attempting te steal car owned by
Rudolph Wolf from inkfront of a restaurant, Wolf saw from
upstairs window and ran down and attemted to stop, Dear
shot him and he died a little later, Both fled and wre
stopped by police, Dear carrying weapon which had been
fired, He was identified as gunman by witnesses, Both
convicted with Hartnett sentenced to life imprisonment,
Dear affirmed on appeal, Could probably go with what is
in appeal but need age as infidcation is he was very younge
