Carter was a Dearborn, Coe, Ind. ex-convict who had ser=
“ved two prison terms. He had married one daughter of
prosperous farmer Johnston Agrue and then divorced her
nd ma rried another daughter, the twin sister of William
Agrue. Carter did not get along with his in-laws and
one afgernoon, he went out to the farm and shot and 7
killed five members of the family, Johnston Agrue, the
father, Marthat Agrue, the mother, leo and William Agrue,
brothers and a 12-year-old granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth
Breedon. Carter was electrocuted on Feb. 10, 202.
