MApril 26, 1899-A special press dispatch from Malden, a
small village in southeastern Missouri, says: Mrs. Jane
Tuttleton, widow of Wash Tuttleton, a prominent citizen
of that section and her four children were murdered last
night. The bodies were found partly incinerated in the
ruins of their home which was set on fire by the murderer,
J. H, Tjttleton, son of Wash Tuttleton by his first wife,
is under arrest, charged with the crime." GALVESTON DAILY
