GORDON, Johnnie Elwood
Gordon, a gangling 6'5" tall black man, was employed as a laborer in

to Broadway and LaPorte Road and went to the home of several girls
who he knew in the area in an attempt to get a date. None of then
were at home and he was walking back to the bus stop on Frio St,
when he overtook a white married woman who was returning home from
her job as a waitress in a tavern, He grabbed her Brom behind,
turned, her around and choked her before dragging her into some bushes
where he raped , threatening to kill her if she made any outcry and
choking her into. unconsciousnesstwice during the assault, Afterwards,
he fled towards the bus stop and a motorist saw him leaving the
bushes, followed by the woman who crawled out and went to her home
150 yards away where she reported the rape to her husband and his
parents. The husband, accompanied by the motorist who Sascha
