BASSI, Michele and PESZI. Tony

Both electrocuted Rockview Prison, Pa, (Cambria Co,) on
Sept, 21, 1923. Were members of gang that held up a
train of Cambria & Indiana Railroad at the Concrete
Bridge at Rixis, Cambria Co,, Pa,, on Oct. 11, 192h,
Train carrying a 433,000 payroll of Fbensburg Coal Co,
from Fbensburg to Colver which was guarded by 65«year-
old James Garman and another man. Garman fatally shot
during robbery and other man narrowly escaped death,
After the robber, both Bassi and Peszi escaped and made
their way to Terre Haute, Ind., where they were arrested
on October 21st. Both denied guilt and never gave names
of accomplices, While case was pending on appeal to
Supreme Court, they attempted to break out of Cambria Co,

Jail and succeeded in sawying bars to cell,
