was convicted in the superior court here yesterday for
the murder of his father. As the jury made no recommen-=
dation fo mercy the death pehalty wibkh be inflicted on
him. The killing occurred in this county last year,
and seems to have been without provocation. Noah and hi
father had some words about the loan of fifty cents.
Noah was drinking at the time, and without warning pull

"Bainbridge, Gae, Mar. 22, 1905-Noah Anderson, the negro
who was convicted at the last term of the superior court
of this county for the murder of his father, has been
hanged here in the county jail yard. The execution was
private and was witnessed only by the officers, the physi-
cians and representatives of the press. The negro went to
the gallows with remarkable fortitude, showning not the
slightest trace of emotion, He stated his regret for his
erime and his firm belieft that hhs sins had been forgiven
and that he was bound for heaven. He prayed for himself
and for the forgiveness of the sins of the world, The
trap was sprung at 10:30, breaking the victim's neck, and
in fifteen minutes he was pronounced dead and cut downe
