HAGAN, Dan Va, (; (§ 5b
"The second (legal hanging at Hickman, Fulton Coe, Kye)
was that of Dan Hagan, who killed Jim Foley by cutting
him with a butcher knife, He killed Foley one evening;
Circuit.Court was in session, he was indicted that even-
ing, tried the next day and stmtenced te death the next,

and soon afterward was hanged by B, F. Easly. This was
in August, 1856."
