yesterday passed by the Hon. Judge Cokcock on John Wood,
of Pendleton District, for the murder of his wife,
Klizabeth, to take Pinas on the 13th of June next,"

held in this place last week, John Wood was convicted of
the murder of his wife. The most material witnesses agains
him were two of his own children, a pirl of ll or le, and
a boy still younger, In consequence of an appeal being
entered, sentence of the law was not passed," COURIER,
