Details: This miscreant was an accomplice of Wegro

WiLL, who was executed on 7-8-95. Both
were members of a band of renegade slaves which infest-
ed the wilderness around New Hanover County. Their
leader called himself The General of the Swamps. They
specialized in hit and run raids which made them the
terror of the countryside. On one raid they ransacked
the plantation of one Alexander Duncan Moore Esq. and
