The following from Wilnongton MORNING STAR, Wilmington,
N. Coy May 25, 190: Gibson,a 23-year-old black Wilming-
ton laborer, was convicted of criminal assault. Main-
tained he was innecent and a victim of mistaken identity,
Asphyxiated on May 2h, 1940. Had a leng police recerd
for petty offenses, Sought for 30 days after crime be-
fore being taken into custedy.
