Black, electrocuted N. C. State Prison (Durham) on July

"Raleigh, 7-8-1915-willie Bell, a negro, the first person
to die on any day other than Friday in North Carolina's
electric chair, paid the death penalty in the state pri-
son here today, Bell was sent to the chair from Durham
County, where he was sentenced to death for the murder of
B, N. Mann, a merchant. Bell confessed the killing."
