_ Taylor, a 33-year-old ranch laborer, got into an-argument over.a.-
saddle blanket ZK with Patrick Daly in Natrona Co., Wyo., in 1923
which he settled by shooting and killing Daly. Acquitted of murdégr

__by_a_jury_in Natrona Co,, Taylor moved-to Johnson Co, where he ob=

tained employment on the Powder River Banch owned by Thomas Carr, _

In January, 1933, he loaned $10.00 to Carr's son-in-law, William

—limbrey. When he-demanded-payment,-Embrey claimed that Taylor owed
him more than $10 for food and EEAMESAXES an argument arose. Imbrey!s

and Taylor shot him three times with a rifle, killing him instantly,
Taylor then went to the home of some neighbors and related what he

had done, calmly lighting a cigarette while the neighbor called the—
Sheriff. Taylor admitted that he had killed Imbrey,; but he stead-

-fastly refused to sign a confessionl His attorneys entered an insani-
ty plea, but Taylor was found guilty and sentenced to hang. On
