A pril 20, 1802, Jonas, slave, stated in war-
rant to be property of Thos, Tooley, but who
court believes property of estate of George
Martin, deceased, convicted of murder of negro
Betty, the property of Mary Ann Miller, and
sentenced to be hanged on June 4, 1802, He
was valued at $400, Sheriff John Shield attest
hanging, stating Jonas was the slave of George
Martin, deceased.
