of Charles Sellers, who murdered Bunyan Adams in Richland
Parish, At 2 o'clock the Sheriff requested the Richzand
Rifles to appear upon the scene to be in readiness in case
of an emergency. The military formed in line just outside
the jail yard. When everything was in readiness the Deput
Sheriff, leading the condemned, ascended the stairway to
the gallows. Adjusting the repe around the cufprit's neck,
the officials asked him if he had anything to say. Sellers
replied: "No, I have said all that I have to say." The
drop fell at 3:30 o'clock and in 15 minutes he was pro-
