allowed his claim of one pound nineteen shillings and
four pence, for burning a negro fellow in Duplin, and sun-
dry other services, etc,"

Wilmington, N. Ce, li=26-1762, us undoubtedly the same:
‘William Peacock was allowed his claim for fifty pounds
being the valuation money of a negro slave to him belong-
ing, called Morrise, who was burnt for murder in Duplin
County, as by certificate," Same, page 83).
