last term of the Supertor Court for the county of Len-
otr held at Kinston, GEORGE WASHINGTON, a negro boy
about 18 years of age, was convicted of the erime of
arson and yesterday patd the penalty of hts erime upon
the gallows. It wtll be remembered that there was an-
other negro suspictoned of having a hand in the same
