Greensville Co., Va., Court of Oyer and Terminer,
held Nov. 3,.1810, Slave Dick, the property of
John Goodwin, was charged with the burglary of
the home of Guy and Priscilla Turner, and the
attempted rape on the body of Lucy Turner, white
Was sentenced to be hanged on Dec. 4, 1810, but
was respited by the Governor to Dec. 27, 1810,
when he was hanged. The execution was attested
