a tax on the slaves in said parish to make such further

Beamen, John Compton and the legal representatives of Vin-
cent Tapp Page, on their own warrant out of any money in
the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to wit: to Sgmuel
Oakford the sum of six hundred dollars for slaves Jim and
Henry executed in the parish of R,pides; to John Pitway
the sum of three hundred dollars for Joe executed in said
Parishs; to Carter Beaman six hundred dollars for Sam and
