Rizzio, a 35~year-old native of Calabria, XEHIAS Italy, was a labor-
er in Utica, N. Y., where he had boarded for a time with a family
named Procopio. On the afternoon of Septe 12, 1909, he had been
gambling and drinking in a Bleecker St, Saloon, leaving about dusk,
