Details: 'Harrtet, a female slave 13 years old, has

been sentenced to be hung on the 26rd in-
stant for the barbarous and unprovoked murder by drown-
ing of a son of Alexander McKenzie Esq. of Hardeman Co.
Tennessee. The ctreumstances as detatled by the wtt-
nesses on the trtal show the transaction to have been
one of the most wanton and aggravated murders perhaps
ever committed by a female so young and created constd-
