black, convicted and sentenced to be hanged at Dallas, TX
for murder of Alex Brown, a black man, on Christmas Eve,
1906, on Marilla St.& Dallas, Brown having been stabbed in
eye, breast, back and back of head, Had been previously
tried, but it ended in mistrial,
