write from Saint Augustine that two of the
people called ' Crackers' met the son of Nipke,
a Creek warrior of note, on St. John's River
and Killed him - possessing themselves of his
home, 6tc,. tis Excellency Gov. Grant immediate-

murderers, two of whom were taken and brought
into st, Augustine, where being found guilty,
one of them has been hanged and thereby it is Ox
