CLARK , Preston Rae (Slim) Large card

Clark, a white 39-year-old laborer was arrested on Decs
31, 192 7, with Bessie Mae Bidwell in Walla Walla, Wash.,
for the po&soning death of Mrs, Bidwell s husband, Al-
pheus Bidwell, ‘She was sentenced to life and then de-
clared insane. Clark received death penalty. A sanity
commission issued a statement that he was "a lew-grade,
irresponsible, mentally ‘defentive, but not-insane" and he
was hanged at Washington State Prison on July 11, 1930.
