Crawfordsville, aus 11-25-1881-The first hanging that |
ever took place in Taliaferro County was the public execu
tion today of Sang Armore, colored, for the murder of Ame
Wington, an old white man, in last April. The prisoner
was first sentenced to be hanged on Oct, 21, but owing to
his confession, implicating several others, he wasrespite
until today. The case against the others was not made ou
however, though half the county believed that Armore had
