DEBASNYS, Henry D. _ A pril 27, 1863

"Elizabethtown, Ne Yo, 4-27-1883—Henry D. Debasnfs was
hanged in the jail yard here today for the murder of his
wifee He slept soundly last night and dressed himself
carefully this morning in a new suit of clothes, purch-
ased with the money paid to him by a doctor to whom he
had sold his body for dissection. He was extremenly !
critical in inspecting the apparatus for his executions"
