Thomas, black, 35, electrocuted at the
Alabama =tate Prison on July 13, 1990.
He was convicted of the Dec. 20, 1976, mur-

der (kidnapping and rape) of Quinnette She
hane, we other co-defendants sentenced

to life (one without and one with parole.)
At time of crime, Thomas was a senior and
President of a college fraternity at Daniel
Payne College and 22. Miss Shehane, white,
was a student at Birmingham Southern Univ.
