DICKSON, William
White, hanged at. Leavenworth, Kansas, on August 9, 1870,
for the murder of dacob Barnett, a Jewish peddler of
Leavenworth, who was murdered on March 10, 1870. Dickson
was an ex-convict, having beeen released from the peni-
tentiary only 2 or 3 days before the murder after having
served a 3-yearesentence for horse stealing. See "Legal
