Executed Jane 13, 1887, Montgomery Coe} Paes for the murder
of Anthony “. Dealy, a farmer for whom he worked, on Jane
26, 188); was a floater sailor; killed his victim with a
meat cleaver, dismembered the body and threw the pieces
into the Wissahickon Creek from the Belle Mills «oad,
Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia vicinity; returned to the farm
and burned the house; fled to Chicago and was not appre=
hended for two years; see pamphlet "A Full History of the
Eventful Life, Crimes, Confession, Repentance and Death on
