Innes, 38-years-old, and Turner, 29-years-old, both black,
electrocuted Sing Sing Prison on June 25, 1931 for the
murder of Joseph Cross in a Bronx apartment house, A
test of the chair that day indicated the dynamo was out of
order and a new one was used so the execution could pro-
ceed on schedule,
