PIERS, Francis NOT EXECUTED.

"On Wednesday, Nov, 5, 1783, were executed near this

town (Baltimore, Md.).o.eFrancis Piers (a Spaniard) for

in Council, Maryland State Archives, states

name was Jean Piero, a Frenchman, and that
intercession was made by the French Counsul,
and the death warrant was rescinded and the
sentence commuted to banishment on 12/27/1783
