"MURDERER ARRESTED. = A negro, named HENRY, was brought
to town, on Saturday, and lodged in jail, for trial, on a
charge of having, in company with a negro woman named
Philley murdered, on the 17th of June last, in the Parish
of St. John's, Berkley, a Mr. William Hucks, of St.
Stephen's Parish, who had the above mentioned negroes in
charge, as fugitive slaves, on his way to Charleston, wit
the intention of lodging them in the workshouse," COURIER,
