learn that on the 6th inst.,at a place called
Farr's Still House, in the lower part of this
district, a recounter occurred between George
Tranum and Edward Norris, in which Norris was
stabbed and killed by tnanum, An inquest was i
held over the body of Norris by Magistrate John
R. Gosett, acting Coroner, the verdict of the
jury being in accorance withthe above statement
Tranum has been lodged in jail to await a judi-
