men. The men were not captured and succeeded in making their way to
New York City. The experience had, however, unnerved Dasch and a few
days later he turned himself in to the FBI and revealed the details of
the plote The group led by Kerling and composed of himself and the
other Sabatoeurs had landed at Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida on June
17 and, in addition to informing on his own men, Yasch told where
Kerling might be located. As a result of the information given them
by Dasch, all eight sabatouers as well as their contacts in the
United S ates were taken into custody in the space of two weeks
