SAMMITYT. John :
17-¢ear-old white youth, hanged Canton, Ohio, June 25,
1880, Convicted of murder of Chris Spuhler, 16, who was
important witness against him in trial for grand larceny,
Was convicted on burglary charge and sentenced to five
years' imprisonment and then brought out of penitentiary
and tried for murder and sentenced.
