more, 6-years-old, The verdict of the jury, which came
after a 9-day trial, was reachéd in 14 hours, Morgan re-
ceived the verdict ealmly. He colored a bit, but showed
no other outward sign of agitation. He continued to chew
gum, as he had done through most of the trial, and walked
briskly, swinging his cap, as he was quickly led from the
courtroom by officers to avoid a demonstration by specta-
